The Project Importer is available for web2project!
Update: Unfortunately, the v3.1 release was a bit botched. As a result, this update is out of the normal ~6 month release cycle.
A v3.2 release has already been prepared on the downloads page.
Release Notes:
This release can be downloaded here: Project Importer v3.2
Importer not working
Please help, i am lost here, i have a standard ms-project file wich is not imported at all if it has more than 12 tasks.
the steps are as follow.
1.- Create a ms-project 2007 file with 15 simple tasks
2.- save a 2000-2003 file
3.- save as xml file
4.- import using project importer
5.- shows pre-import details screen
6.- press import and nothing happens
If i erase 3 tasks, then the file is imported correctly!!
Any clues?
Thanks
Importer 3.2 Errors
Just moved from dotProject to web2Project 1.2.2. While I like w2p, your importer is a critical part of our process and so far it is not working at all. Every time we try to import a project we get a bunch of this error: "Column 'history_project' cannot be null". Haven't counted them, but it looks like one error for each task. It finishes off with one final error: "You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND task_id <> task_parent' at line 1".
This was working fine with dP and an older version of the importer. The XML files are created with OpenProj.
Any ideas? I don't want to roll back to dP because w2p's performance is much better, but I'll have no choice if we can't get this working. Thanks.
Importer Update
Jim,
Thanks for the note. I've collected a number of updates, fixes, and example documents in the last couple weeks and I'm hoping to release an update by the end of the month. Hang on with me just a bit.
Hanging On
Okay Keith. Thanks for the feedback. We'll hang on a little more. I'm hoping I have some free time to look at the code myself.
Error installing project importer
I just downloaded the project importer module v3.2. I unzipped the contents into modules/projectimporter then went to modules page and clicked install. Got error saying You should not access this file directly
Please advise.
Thanks in advance.
Project Importer Install
Are you using it on web2project or dotProject? I think that issue should only come up on dotProject..
