You state that the SEC will find new ways of defining an insider, but I disagree. The current definition already include a blogger who divulges non public information for gain or notoriety.
My hope is that blogging eventually is thought of as public expression and accountability. One shouldn't air dirty laundry or do illegal things just because the medium of communication is new. Hopefully the spirit of government regulation will embody this concept rather than designate computer writing as distinct from other forms of communication.
